I’ve recently stumbled over this article that claims higher protein intake by pregnant mothers increase the chances of having a baby boy. This makes perfect sense to me.

But I do think that the influence is rather small, but not neglectable. The study clearly shows that women in modern societies who eat diet foods have daughters, this is also reflected in the global decrease of male new-borns.

The question now remains if the sex is determined at conception, and the protein and vitamin intake at conception or if the food influences the fetus sex after conception…

How will our hands evolve?

In comparison with the recent ancestors, over the years, the shape of our body, including the hands and fingers, has evolved to better suit our need for handling objects around us. Does sex contribute to our hand development?

Compared to the other primates, our fingers have shrinked to suit our needs of holding and throwing objects, as ilustrated in the figure below.

Sexual pleasure has had less influence in the evolution of our fingers, but this is because the importance of phisical strength in our hads. Humans rely on their hands to do most of the working activities and less enjoying sex. But this doesn’t mean that the hands have not become more sensitive. In contrast with other animals, we use our hands for sexual pleasure. We love to touch and to be touched by hands. When using our hands to touch the partner’s sexual organ, we get aroused too. Men enjoy touching and squeezing female breasts, and women enjoy feeling the firm butcheeks of a man or his hard cock with their fingers.
As technology will advance, the need to use our hands in working activities will be dimmed. Near future robotic enhanchements will cover our body and make our arms stronger, tougher, while protecting the softness of our skin. As time will pass, our hands won’t be as strong without these enhanchements, and by that time, the nerves in our palms will be much more sensitive. Skin will be much more soft. We will feel every touch. We will be able to have hand-touch orgasms.

Humans are the most advanced sexual organisms on Earth. Think about it! We have sex when we want, as long as our mind is erotically excited. We even think about how and when to reach climax. Humans control sex.

Because sex is very pleasurable, it may have an impact in our organism evolution by taking over parts of our body not specifically designed for erotic pleasures. It happened in the passed: our tongue. In most animals the tongue does not offer sexual pleasure. Not only that French kissing is pleasurable, but it’s also a way for couples to express their affection, spiritual connection, love.

Love! It is the utter most evolved feeling that sex is related to. Humans love.
